About Us

Welcome to Mindz that Matter. We are a Mental Health support service for children and young people. Promoting a positive mental health journey for children and young people is our core aim.

Our key objective is to ensure that children, young people, their families, and key adults (professionals) become informed about triggers, symptoms of Mental health and how we are all critical in the process of recovery.

Unfortunately, the pressures and demands faced by children/young people are ever increasing, yet children and young people are not taught the skills or given the strategies to deal with this increasing demand. Consequently, more and more children and young people are suffering with mental health issues.

Did you know…?

  • 20% of teenagers experience a mental health problem in any given year.
  • 50% of mental health problems are established by the age of 14years and 75% by the age of 24years.
  • 10% of children and young people aged 5-16yrs have a clinically diagnosed mental health problem, yet 70% of children and young people who experience mental health have NOT had appropriate therapeutic interventions at a sufficient early age.
.

Positive mental health starts at infancy. If positive mental health skills are taught early on and support/resources are given appropriately, children can develop RESILIENCE. Meaning they have the skills to overcome life’s challenges or difficulties. Mindz That Matter is committed to developing children and young people’s resilience. Working towards our Key aim:

To promote a Positive Mental Health Journey for Children and young People

Our mission

At Mindz that matter, our mission is to make sure ALL children and young people get the very BEST mental health support.

“The journey to adulthood, should teach, guide and develop our Mental wellbeing. Preparing us with the skills needed to face whatever life throws our way. Good Mental wellbeing is a skill we need to learn! So, we must teach children these skills. As adults it is our responsibility to stop and show them the skills and strategies needed to succeed. Let’s stop and help them on their journey”

Our Goals

Resilience: To develop and grow this in children and young people.

Promotion: To promote good mental wellbeing to children and young people
